New Delhi, May 30 : Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal on Monday called on President Pranab Mukherjee and discussed several issues pertaining to the state.
"I met the President, Shri Pranab Mukherjee to seek his blessings. We discussed several issues pertaining to Assam," Sonowal wrote on his Twitter account after the meeting.
Sonowal, who was earlier a union minister, was sworn in as the first BJP chief minister of Assam last week at a massive public meeting that was also attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his senior cabinet and party colleagues.
