Ho Chi Minh City, Aug 26 : Indian shuttlers Ajay Jayaram, B. Sai Praneeth and R.M.V. Gurusaidutt suffered second round defeats in men's singles to be ousted from the $50,000 Vietnam Open Grand Prix here on Wednesday.

The mixed doubles pair of Arun Vishnu and Aparna Balan were the only Indians to taste success at the Nguyen Du Stadium as their compatriots suffered early round losses.

Vishnu and Balan took 43 minutes to beat the Indonesian combine of Hendra Aprida Gunawan and Shendy Puspa Irawati 21-19, 16-21, 21-14 to proceed to Round 2.

Men's doubles third seeds Pranaav Chopra and Akshay Dewalkar beat the Canadian pair of Adrian Liu and Derrick N.G. 21-13, 21-9 in 26 minutes to advance to the second round.

Shreyansh Jaiswal won against Malaysia's Mohamad Arif Abdul Latif 21-16, 19-21, 21-15 to enter the men's singles third round.

But later Indonesian pair of Markis Kido and Pia Zebadiah Bernadeth easily drubbed Akshay Dewalkar and Prajakta Sawant 21-19, 21-12 in half an hour in the mixed doubles opener.

In men's doubles, Malaysian fifth seeds Kien Keat Koo and Boon Heong Tan defeated Alwin Francis and Arun Vishnu 21-17, 21-14 in 34 minutes.

Coming back to men's singles, Indonesian Wisnu Yuli Prasetyo took care of 13th seed Gurusaidutt, winning 21-16, 15-21, 21-15 in 55 minutes.

Indonesian Muhammad Bayu Pangisthu upset fifth seeded Sai, to come out victorious 21-19, 19-21, 21-16 in an hour and six minutes. Japan's Kenta Nishimoto beat fourth seeded Jayaram 21-15, 13-21, 21-18 in exactly an hour.
