Amman, Nov 28 : King Abdullah II of Jordan Thursday said Middle East will continue to suffer from instability and lack of security if no solution to the Palestinian issue is found, media reported.

In a letter sent to the Committee on the Exercise of the Inalienable Rights of the Palestinian People, the king said the region will continue to witness fear, tension and lack of hope if no permanent peace is reached between the Palestinians and the Israelis, Xinhua reported citing the state-run Petra news agency.

The king said Jordan will support all efforts leading to the creation of an independent Palestinian state with east Jerusalem as its capital.

He added that Jordan will continue to defend the holy Islamic and Christian sites in Jerusalem.
