Madrid, Nov 7 : Spain coach Vicente del Bosque named four debutants Friday - striker Alvaro Morata, winger Jose Callejon, forward Nolito and midfielder Ignacio Camacho - in his 23-man squad for the forthcoming football international matches against Belarus and Germany.
Spain aim to ensure their place in the finals of the 2016 European Championships against Belarus in Huelva Nov 15, before facing World Champions Germany in Vigo Nov 18, reports Xinhua.
But the coach didn't call up Chelsea forward Diego Costa, who has struggled with a series of muscle injuries this season, a decision which will no doubt please Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho.
Athletic Bilbao midfielder Ander Iturraspe and Valencia forward Rodrigo are both dropped from the squad, while Real Madrid defender Dani Carvajal is out with injury, while Gerard Pique is included despite struggling for form this season.
