Berlin, June 7 : German football club Stuttgart reinforced their squad with the signing of striker Daniel Ginczek from relegated Nuremberg.

The 23-year-old new arrival Friday put pen to paper on a four-year deal which keeps him at the "Swabians" until June 2018, reports Xinhua.

However, Ginczek is still on the road to recovery following a cruciate ligament tear, which he suffered in February.

"Daniel is a young striker who fits very well in our team with enormous potential. He is tall, robust, fast and has proven that he is a goal threat," Stuttgart director of sport Fredi Bobic said.

Stuttgart's new striker has scored 26 goals in 77 games in club football matches.

"I really had a good time in Nuremberg but I really wanted to continue in the Bundesliga. Stuttgart is a club with a great tradition. It is the next step in my development," Ginczek said.

Stuttgart only just avoided relegation as they completed the season in 15th place.
