Visakhapatnam, Aug 29 : Luke Ronchi's whirlwind century helped New Zealand A amass 310 all out as India A trailed by 304 runs at the end of the second day of the first unofficial Test here Thursday.

After rain washed away the first day's play, the visitors took the advantage courtesy a 146-run stand for the seventh wicket between Ronchi (125) and Doug Bracewell (63).

India A looked to be in the driving seat after reducing their opponents to 106 for six but the former Australian wicket keeper batsman took the initiative away by smashing 16 fours and four sixes in his 110-ball innings.

Jalaj Saxena was the pick of the Indian bowlers picking up six wickets for 106 runs.

In reply, India lost opener Unmukt Chand (4) in the second over with Jiwanjot Singh (1 not out) and Sarabjit Ladda (1 not out) unbeaten at the crease.
