Foreign institutional investors (FIIs) have raised shareholding in Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone. FIIs shareholding increased 10 basis points to 17.48% at the end of March 2014 quarter from 17.38% as on Dec. 31, 2013.
On the other hand, domestic institutional investors' (DIIs) shareholding also went up to 3.23% at the end of March 2014 quarter from 3.08% as on Dec. 31, 2013.
Under DIIs, mutual funds / UTI held maximum stake of 2.57%, followed by insurance companies (0.56% stake) and financial institutions / banks (0.10% stake)
Meanwhile, promoter and promoter group shareholding was unchanged at 75% at the end of March 2014 quarter.
Shares of the company gained Rs 10.35, or 5.54%, to trade at Rs 197.20. The total volume of shares traded was 546,240 at the BSE (11.36 a.m., Wednesday).
