The Chief Information Officer of Vodafone India Vikas Grover has quit the company and is likely to be replaced by VLCC executive Meenakshi Vajpayee.

"Vikas Grover has quit few days back. The company has got his replacement as well," a source told PTI.

Grover has stepped down from his position after a stint of about 9 years at Vodafone. This was the phase when Vodafone India moved from 2G to 3G and then to 4G services.

The source said that Vajpayee from VLCC is likely to take charge. She was serving the company as the Chief Technology Officer.

Vajpayee has earlier worked with Bharti Airtel, Sapient Corporation and PVR.

No immediate comments were received from Vodafone India and Vajpayee could not be reached for her comment.
