Sudarshan Sukhani of s2analytics.com told CNBC-TV18, "There is something going on in some of the good quality power companies like Torrent Power and Adani Power. The stocks have made bullish head and shoulder, have broken out and are continuing their rallies. So a dip today is even a better point to buy Torrent Power."
"V-Guard Industries has been in a trading range for almost three months now, a remarkable rally and a trading range and an expected break on the upside, so it's a buy."
"Tata Global Beverage, we heard about it as to how it has broken out. It has been in a range for seven-eight days - that range and that consolidation should eventually resolve on the upside. So, three buy ideas in the midcap and all of them have tailwinds with them," he added.
"Two short sells. One is Repco Home Finance. Something is going on there. It has been falling consistently and every day. I wonder what is going on but it is a short sell."
"Mindtree has been a disappointment. It is also an easy short sell. Keep shorts only intraday, as far as possible. It's a general rule," he added.
"These are random moves in Just Dial and the trend is down, so I would not touch it. The Ramco Cements is a much better option. Cement as a sector is upbeat and Ramco probably is a buy on this dip."
"Cummins India is giving a sense of a large distribution pattern and significantly more downside. It is not just intraday; probably looking at much lower levels, so avoid it."
"There are two buying opportunities in this down day. One is Reliance Industries and other is ACC. Both are attractive for swing traders who want to take a position for a few days."
"Bank of Baroda as part of public sector undertaking (PSU) bank is a short sell. One could sell any PSU bank."
