Buy L&T, Dalmia Bharat, Motherson Sumi; sell Fortis Health, Raymond: Sukhani

Sudarshan Sukhani of s2analytics.com is of the view that one can buy Larsen & Toubro, Dalmia Bharat and Motherson Sumi and can sell Fortis Healthcare and Raymond.

July 31, 2017 / 10:50 AM IST

Sudarshan Sukhani of s2analytics.com told CNBC-TV18, "It does appear that Larsen & Toubro (L&T) could easily outperform the rest of the market even if the market remains choppy and have a mild dip. Larsen is making a trading range for four weeks which could breakout. I would be a buyer even if there is a gap up."

"Dalmia Bharat is a buying opportunity. It is in the Futures and Options (F&O) segment for some months now. The stock has been rallying. After a small rally there was a brief correction and it does appear that the correction could be ending and the uptrend would resume. It is a strong stock."

"Motherson Sumi Systems is another strong stock, sideways range, after a big rally that range could break on the upside. Friday was a good day for Motherson Sumi," he said.

"We are looking at midcaps which have been outperforming and therefore in a choppy market could be safe haven."

"Jubilant Foodworks is now in a trading range and at the top of its chart, so there is a breakout on the upside is imminent. The market likes it and that's good for me."

"Fortis Healthcare for some reason has been regularly falling. No idea why, but it is again breaking lows, so there is a short sell there. So there are three midcap buying opportunities. Fortis is a short sell and Raymond had a rally - that rally fizzled out. It made three week range and broke below that range. So that chart is morphing into at least a mildly bearish pattern. It's a short sell," he added.

"I have three buying ideas. One is ICICI Bank. Friday's big decline and today's recovery seem to suggest that there is buying possible here. I own shares as an investment in the company."

"There are two FMCG stocks - Pidilite Industries and Emami - both are in strong momentum and there is buying possible there."

"This is not a day to consider going short either step aside or buy the midcaps."
