Avoid PSU banks, focus on NBFC; buy Infosys, LIC Housing: Sudarshan Sukhani

Sudarshan Sukhani of s2analytics.com is of the view that one can avoid PSU banks and focus on NBFC and advises buying Infosys and LIC Housing Finnace.

June 07, 2017 / 10:54 AM IST

Sudarshan Sukhani of s2analytics.com told CNBC-TV18, "LIC Housing Finance is a buying opportunity; almost all non-banking financial companies (NBFCs) are showing signs of willingness to go higher, so that is where the focus should be."

"The big rally yesterday has enabled some of the high tech stocks to breakdown. So, Infosys is a second buy opportunity."

"Bharti Infratel has been slowly going up from Rs 300 to Rs 380 now. It has been consolidating at Rs 380 and the sense is that another upmove from Rs 380 could be on the offering. These are three buying ideas. NBFC is a focus area and we should be looking at it," he said.

"I was downbeat on public sector undertaking (PSU) banks and metals. The charts for them are still dull. So, both these sectors are not buying opportunities. If you find a dip there, according to me do not buy that. Hindustan Zinc is a short sell and so is Glenmark Pharma. We have seen how Glenmark has fallen after the news event and its falling non-stop. So two short selling ideas, PSU banks are a complete avoid. Focus on NBFCs," he said.
