Monsoon Session: Uproar in parliament over attack on dalits

Gujarat Chief Minister Anandiben Patel and the state social justice minister are likely to visit Una on Wednesday. Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal will also visit the state later.

Parliament witnessed stormy scenes over alleged atrocities against Dalits in Gujarat. Congress president Sonia Gandhi and AAP MP Bhagwant Mann are likely to raise the issue.

BSP Chief Mayawati has already raised the issue in Parliament on Monday.

Gujarat Chief Minister Anandiben Patel and the state social justice minister are likely to visit Una on Wednesday. Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal will also visit the state later.

Gujarat has seen violent protests since video emerged of five Dalit men being beaten in Una for allegedly skinning a cow. Seven people tried to commit suicide to protest the incident.
