Ajit Jogi's party announces 11 candidates for Assembly polls

Janata Congress Chhattisgarh (J), floated by former chief minister Ajit Jogi, today announced names of eleven candidates for the coming Assembly elections in the BJP-ruled Chhattisgarh.

Iqbal Ahmed Rizvi, chief of the party's media cell, said this was the first list, being issued following a meeting of the core committee of the party today.

The candidates in the list are: Gulab Sinh (to contest from Bharatpur Sonhat constituency), Chaitram Sahu (from Bhatapara constituency), M S Paikra (from Pathhalgaon), Pankaj Tiwari (from Surajpur), Vibhash Singh Thakhur (from Raigarh), Omprakash Devangan (from Raipur rural), Manek Darpati (Bhanupratappur), Santosh Kaushik (Takhatpur), Narendra Sinh (Pratappur), Geetanjali Patel (Chandrapur) and Sanjit Thakur (Mohla Manpur).
