BSE to suspend trading in 40 companies from Aug 27

Apart from Gujchem Distillers India and Zodiac Ventures, trading would be suspended in Alpha Hi-tech Fuel, Venus Universal, Aplaya Creations, Rudraksh Cap-Tech, Radhe Developers India, Corporate Courier and Cargo.

Leading stock exchange BSE has ordered suspension of trading in shares of 40 firms, including Gujchem Distillers India and Zodiac Ventures from August 27 until further notice. The move is aimed at ensuring safety of investors in the capital market. "Based on the parameters provided by Sebi and under provisions of rules, bye-laws and regulation of the exchange, as an interim preventive and remedial measure and to maintain orderly development in the securities market, trading in the securities of the (40) companies will be suspended with effect from August 27, 2015 until further notice," BSE said.

Apart from Gujchem Distillers India and Zodiac Ventures, trading would be suspended in Alpha Hi-tech Fuel, Venus Universal, Aplaya Creations, Rudraksh Cap-Tech, Radhe Developers India, Corporate Courier and Cargo. Earlier, BSE (formerly known as Bombay Stock Exchange) has listed out 17 companies including Raj Irrigation Pipes & Fittings and Kohinoor Broadcasting Corporation, that will face suspension of trading from August 26.
