Surya Roshni's AP steel unit to begin production from today

Surya Roshni announced to start commercial production of steel products at its new facility at Ananthapuramu in Andhra Pradesh from today. "Commercial production at the company's newly set up steel pipe plant at Hindupur district Ananthapuramu (AP) for manufacturing of ERW Black and GI Pipes with an installed capacity of 90,000 tonnes per annum" will commence from today, the company said in a BSE filing. With the start of operations at the plant, the company will achieve savings in logistic cost and further leveraging its presence in the premium market of South India, it said. Surya Roshni is a manufacturing company with business interests in steel tubes and pipes, lighting, fans and appliances, and polyvinyl chloride (PVC) pipes.
