The Divestment Department has invited bids from legal firms to appoint the legal advisors for four offer for sales (OFS). These four companies are power major NTPC, upstream company Oil India, Bharat Electronics Limited and Hindustan copper Limited.

These stake sales are expected to go a long way in helping the government achieve its ambitious target of garnering close to Rs 70,000 crore in the present fiscal.

Finance Minister, Arun Jaitley, had announced a divestment target of Rs 69500 crore in the Union Budget 2015-16, against the previous fiscal's target of Rs 58,425 crore.
