A couple have decided to keep their unborn baby girl even though a scan has shown she has two faces and two brains, but one body.

Doctors have told Renee and Simon Howie that the child is unlikely to survive more than two days.

But the couple, from Sydney, Australia, who have seven children, are refusing to terminate the pregnancy on moral grounds.

Simon said: “I don’t believe in terminating a baby. It will be the same as bringing home a child with autism.”

Renee said: “If I only get two days with the baby, I only get two days.”

Daughter Patsy-Anne said: “It’s still a baby.”

And sister Jess added: ”We’ll love it, no matter what.”

Only 35 other cases have ever been recorded, the last in India in 2008 and none of the children has survived.
