New Delhi: Since Akshay Kumar's ‘Entertainment' is inching closer to its release this Friday, viewers are all excited to get their share of laughter doze this weekend. While Khiladi Kumar and Sonu Sood are already here to serve the purpose, to give them a run for the money there is cute accompany in the names of dog and not just one but many.


So, besides the actors, these dogs are going to play a prominent role in the flick and we are sure this is going to work for the flick a big time like before.

Casting animals in movies have been a great sign of displaying relationship between them and humans. In Indian cinema it's the lead actors who mostly dominate the flick, however, pets and other animals if given a limelight, they leave no stone unturned to garner their share of applause apart from adding a required zeal to the flick.



Bollywood has many such examples where dogs and other animals have played a significant role in the main storyline, making the flick a ‘hit'.

Here are few flicks where dogs and other animals have floored us with their superb acts and were truly the stars.



Bajarangi in Aankhen- David Dhawan-Govinda's jodi is considered evergreen. Adding more to the spark in their flick ‘Aakhein' was Bajarangi a monkey playing Govind and Chunky Pandey's companion in the movie. The notorious ape was nevertheless entertaining throughout this unadulterated flick and became famous overnight.



Moti in Bol Radha Bol: The Rishi Kapoor and Juhi Chawla starrer had a dog named Moti in it and he did a commendable job. The flick illustrated how dogs are known to be the most loyal companions and can never go wrong in identifying their real masters.



Dhanno is Sholay: The dialogues, action, and romance everything is epic in this classic movie. Even a horse named Dhanno played a pivotal role in the flick. One might wonder how that ‘bak-bak' of Basanti (Hema Malini) would have arrived had it not been Dhanno? Or how she would have escaped the baddies without Dhanno in the final moments of the flick?



Tuffy in Hum Aapke Hai Kaun- The white furry Pomeranian dog Tuffy won our hearts in this classic family drama and now when this flick has completed 20 years in Bollywood, how could we forget this cute little dog who was an apple of the eye of one and all. Remember his it's as an umpire or that twist he gave to the film in the end.



Yamla Pagla Deewana 2: If Dharmendra, Sunny and Bobby-trio weren't enough for the viewers to watch this flick, the makers gave them a highly classified orangutan, a monkey species to soar up the laughter doze. The ape played an equivalent role in the flick. From drinking alcohol, to painting and romancing, orangutan was more or less a show-stealer.
