New Delhi: There's an uproar in the media over the leaked international celebrity pictures and Hollywood A-listers  have apparently claimed that the images that are leaked are unfortunately theirs.

The hackers have managed to hack the accounts of around 110 celebrities, stolen their images and leaked them online.

Here we have tried to make our readers aware, as in how these people got hold of the passwords and celebrities' private images:

According to the hackers, they hacked the celeb's iCloud account to get the access of their pictures.

Though, it's believed that the information we share online is safe enough, but the fact is the moment we share it to the third party, we lose some control over it.

Although, iCloud protects the data through encryption, but the hackers may have hacked the login credentials of the respective accounts and cleared the encryption process.

There is a possibility of hackers trying the “brute force cracking”, which is a trial-and-error method used to get plain-text passwords from encrypted data.

In this method, just as a criminal, while opening up a safe, tries all possible combinations, similarly, brute force cracking goes through all possible character combinations.

The third way could have been the use of social engineering techniques to obtain Apple IDs and passwords.

It is a bit easier if the hacker knows the information about the victim, like the date of birth, maiden name etc, which is quite easy to know in case of celebs.

Also if a person uses the same password for all accounts, there are more chances to crack the password if they have right information.

In case you have a poor password management skill, so you better be prepared!
