Recently the comments of director Suraj who directed the recent Tamil-action comedy Kaththi Sandai with Vishal and Tamannaah in the lead roles were splashed across Tabloids. He said that his films allure the low class audience and they come to see films that are worth to the full extent to what they pay. They like to see heroes fight and the glamour of the heroine in skimpy clothes or half clad heroines.

The director gave this opinion in a promotional event of his movie. He even opined that when costume designer come to him with dresses for actress that is fully clad and up to the anklet, then he asks them to cut its length and make it short. He also added that he doesn`t care whether the actresses are unhappy about it and people buy tickets for movies to see Tamannaah in glamorous roles.

These misogynistic comments didn`t go well with Tamannah and Nayan Thara. They both lashed against the director`s misogynistic statements. The statement of Tamannaah is given below. Nayatnthara said that actresses are not strippers and she had previously done glamorous roles but it was her choice and it was not forcefully implemented on her by directors. Finally at the end of the story, Suraj he had to apologize for it.
