Earlier today we had reported about Silambarasan recording a song with the voices of his parents T.Rajendar and Usha Rajendar for 'Sakka Podu Podu Raja', his debut venture as a music director. Now the official update from producer reveals more interesting details about the songs as well as the progress of the film starring Santhanam and Vaibhavi in lead roles.

"STR has finished composing all the 5 songs of Sakka Podu Podu Raja. Most importantly there is mass song "va munima va" sung by STR's parents T Rajendran and Usha Rajendran . The intro song of Santhanam is sung by Anirudh. Yuvan is singing a song "kadhal devathai" penned by Vairamuthu. Leone James has sung one of the songs. Simbu is introducing 2 new singers Vasudev Krishnan son of singer Unni krishnan and Keerthana. " stated the official press release from the makers of 'SPPR'.

Regarding the progress of the film's shoot, the release said "Talkie portions of the movie are over. Song shoot is planned to roll by 15th of this month. Locations of the song shoot are Ooty ,Banglore , Chennai and 2 songs in USA. "

The film is being produced by VTV Ganesh and directed by Sethuraman.
