Samuthirakani to remake his latest super hit

Director Samuthirakani's 'Appa' is one of the sleeper hits of the year. The film was also critically acclaimed for its content. Samuthirakani had played the lead role in the film and also produced it under his Nadodigal Productions banner.

Now we learn from a reliable source that Samuthirakani will be directing the Malayalam remake of 'Appa' which will have veteran actor Jayaram in the lead role while Asha Sharath of 'Papanasam' fame is expected to play an important role in the film. The shooting will start in November.

We can expect an official announcement on the project very soon,

Samuthirakani has successfully remade his earlier super hit 'Nadodigal' in Telugu and Kannada.
