Three years ago on this day, Rakul's first hit 'Venkatadri Express' was out. If there is one actress who has graduated from acting in films as insignificant as 'Rough' only in 2014 to doing some of the costliest movies in a span of a few months, it's Rakul Preet Singh. Year 2016 has been ravishing in every sense. 'Nannaku Prematho', 'Sarrainodu' and the yet-to-be-released 'Dhruva' are the ones. In all of these three, she has been paired up opposite reigning stars of Tollywood.

If doing substantial roles opposite the likes of NTR, Allu Arjun and now Ram Charan is a stellar achievement for an actress, doing films under the likes of Sukumar, Boyapati Sreenu and Surendar Reddy is way too big.

As if all this wasn't awesome enough, Rakul is now doing Mahesh Babu's next. Brilliantly lucky her! That the director is AR Murugadoss makes her luck all the more sexy.

Doesn't she think that she hasn't yet got to play performance-oriented roles? "It's wrong to say that there is no performance in a glamorous role. Even a glam role takes in a lot of effort," she once told IndiaGlitz.

Easily a super-celeb, Rakul's feet are firmly on the ground. "I don't see myself as a celebrity. I just see myself as someone doing a nine-to-six job like a techie. Just as software professionals put in extra hours on some days, I too put in extra hours," she tells us.

A busy bee, Rakul is an entrepreneur whom women would like to see as an inspiration. "I feel very happy when people tell me that I have done a good thing by opening the gym F45 at Gacchibowli where there was none," she adds.
