"Why should we do it for free?" - Producer Gnanavelraja

The recent copyright issue between Isaignani Ilayaraja and veteran singer SP Balasubrahmanyam triggered a raging debate over social media. This controversy has also made many to consider a demand for royalty.

On Tuesday, Gnanavelraja who had been campaigning in Madurai for the Producers Council Elections told the media that the latest Ilaiyaraja - SPB issue has left Producers wondering. It has made them to reconsider telecasting of songs and comedy scenes from movies for free.

Gnanavelraja also showed confidence of his team's victory in the upcoming elections. Present along with him during the press interview were Director Mysskin, Pandiraj, Prabhu, Prakash Raj & Selva.
