Actor-Composer admits copying Illayaraja tunes

The audio launch function of VVV Records Achchamindri` directed by was held today with the hero of the film, Vijay Vasanth, heroine Shrusti Dange, producer Vinodkumar and music director Premgi Amaran cheered on by Venkat Prabu, Yuvan Shankar Raja, Mirchi Siva, Vaibav and Ponvannan among other celebrities.

Speaking at the occasion, Premgi Amaran said that he lifts tunes from his uncle Isaigniani Illayaraja and in fact has even asked him for tracks that he has not used in the thousand odd films he has scored so that he can use them. Premgi said that it is his birthright to copy his uncle`s works and his cousin and Illayaraja`s son Yuvan also seconded him in this regard.
