After the unanimously acclaimed blockbuster 'Thani Oruvan' director Mohan Raja has completed shooting for his next film titled as 'Velaikkaran' with Sivakarthikeyan, Fahad Faasil and Nayanthara in lead roles. This is the director's second consecutive film with the Lady Superstar as the female lead.

However it is surprising when the director revealed that Nayan and he had some hard feelings while making 'Thani Oruvan'.

Speaking in his interview to a leading weekly Mohan Raja said "While making Thani Oruvan, my mind as a director was occupied with the Mithran and Siddharth Abhimanyu characters. Nayanthara would have felt what is the scope for a big heroine like her in that film. That is my mistake. Nevertheless, after watching the preview show of 'Thani Oruvan', she came to me and said she could have cooperated better with me as an actress. That shows her generosity. In 'Velaikkaran' she plays a character named Mrunalini and she comes as a pillar of support for the hero throughout the film. She is an artist who would work with a deep understanding about the character. I am planning to make film with her as the main lead. I also have a story for that."
