The noted music director, writer, actor and cartoonist V Manohar has rightly observed on the recent announcement of Karnataka state budget in fixing Rs.200 as ticket price in multiplex screens. The exorbitant rates multiplex screens charging for other language films especially in weekends – Rs.500 to Rs.2500 will be curtailed and it helps the audience of non Kannada films.

What is needed is giving ample support to single screens and keeping Rs.50 to 80 as ticket price. This is affordable ticket price for those who are at the working class such as auto drivers, hotel workers, factory workers etc. They are the actual cinema goers says V Manohar.

We have to retain single screens and fix ticket price from Rs.50 to Rs.80 so that major of audience at middle and lower middle class would find approachable to films.
