Jeethu Joseph in his initial days of career approached Mammootty with two projects. It was Drishyam and Memories, both became hits and collected well at the box office. Mammootty had declined both these offers stating that the story is similar to what he had done earlier. In fact he recommended Prithivraj for Memories and Mohanlal for Drishyam. His recommendation was apt and they suited well for the character and the film as a whole.

Recently in an interview he confirmed about the Mammootty project and he indicated that the actor has signed in the dotted lines. The film is yet to be given a title. Finally we have something from Jithu for all the Mammootty fans to get excited about.
