They are the real heroes of Kammattipaadam, says Dulquer Salmaan

The highly anticipated CPC awards were given away last night. At the awards, Vinayakan won the best actor award for his performance in Kammattipaadam. Meanwhile, Manikandan Achari won the best supporting actor award for his amazing performance as Balan Chettan in Kammattipaadam. Congratulating both his co-stars, the Kammattipaadam hero Dulquer Salmaan took to his Facebook handle to express his excitement.

"Warms my heart and fills it with immense joy to see Vinayakan Chetan and Manikandan Chetan get accolades love and appreciation for #Kammattipaadam ! I've been blessed to have learnt from them and be a part of the same film. Right from the get go I said they are the real heros of #Kammattipaadam. And I still say it," wrote Dulquer Salmaan.

Cinema Paradiso Club (CPC) is a popular movie lovers group in Facebook, which has around 85,000 members including many celebrities. Unlike the channel awards, CPC Awards are judged on the basis of online voting and jury members' selection. Other winners of CPC Awards were - Sai Pallavi and Rajisha Vijayan who clinched the best actress award for Kali and Anuraga Karikkin Vellam respectively. Maheshinte Prathikaram won the best movie of the year. The movie has won awards in four other major categories: Best Director- Dileesh Pothen, Best Script Writer- Shyam Pushkaran, Best Cinematographer- Shyju Khalid, Best Music Director- Bijibal. Rohini won the supporting actress award for Guppy and Action Hero Biju. Veteran actor Indrans won the Special Honorary award.
