Reason for DMDK leader Vijayakanth's hospitalization

Reports of DMDK president and film actor Vijayakanth's sudden hospitalization have been doing rounds. A statement released from the party throws light on the issue.

While it is true that the actor turned politician is currently in a private hospital in Chennai, it is only a routine health check-up that Vijayakanth undergoes every year.

The statement also mentioned that he will stay in the hospital for a few days and has requested party cadres not to visit him during his stay.
