Former Chief Minister O. Panneer Selvam is sitting on a hunger strike today between 9 am and 5pm at the Rajarathnam Stadium , Egmore. His supporters are following suit in all district headquarters with their main demand being a judicial probe into the mysterious death of former CM and ADMK General Secretary Selvi J. Jayalalitha.

In most of the hunger strike venues, the songs that are played are “Nooru Saamigal Irunthaalum Amma Unaipol aagiduma” from Vijay Antony`s Pichaikaaran` and “Amma Amma Nee Enga Amma” from Dhanush`s VIP`. Both the songs are reportedly getting the participators emotionally charged and causing goose bumps and throat lumps. One more example for cinema coming to the aid of politics in TN.
