If Chiranjeevi banked on Puri Jagannadh and Nagarjuna on VV Vinayak, Balakrishna may well go for Krish. What are we talking about? It's about who the Nandamuri Nata Lion will cherry-pick to direct his son's debut.

For many months now, tantalizing names have been thrown around. From Trivikram to Boyapati and even Rajamouli, almost all A-lister directors known for delivering monstrous hits were said to be out to mentor Mokshagna. The latest name that informed sources are talking about is that of Krish.

It's said that while Boyapati may well direct Mokshagna's second, Krish will have the honour of launching Mokshagna. Balayya is thoroughly impressed with his technical knowledge and judgmental skills. But, wait. Mustn't the father be waiting for the result in January? If the historical 'Gautamiputra Satakarni' turns out to be a hit, Balayya could ask Krish to go ahead with his son. Thus, the son's film may go on the floors in the last leg of 2017 or in the first quarter of 2018. Krish will have done with a Bollywood movie by then.

Something similar is happening in the Akkineni family right now. Both Akhil and Naga Chaitanya are being directed by a director who delivered a hit each with Nagarjuna. They are 'Manam' and 'Soggade Chinni Nayana', directed by Vikram Kumar and Kalyan Krishna, respectively.
