A.R. Rahman's selection of songs in his recent 'Netru Indru Nalai' concert in Wembley Stadium, London received widespread criticism from a section of Hindi speaking audience. They complained that the legend song many Tamil songs which they could not understand and many of them sought repayment of their ticket cost.

The entire film fraternity, movie buffs and Rahman's fans have come in support of the Oscar Tamilan. Many are of the opinion that there is no language for music and Rahman has done nothing wrong. Many social media users in Tamil Nadu pointed out that since the program has been titled in Tamil, it is implied that substantial number of Tamil songs will be sung in the program.

It is said that only 12 Tamil songs were performed while 16 Hindi songs were performed in the concert and that itself has angered some Hindi fans.

Rahman has reacted for the first time to the controversy.

" We try our best. We try to be honest. I loved way people have supported me all these years. Without I am nothing. I am grateful to all of them."
