Director A.R.Murugadoss's upcoming Tamil-Telugu bilingual with Mahesh Babu and Rakul Preet Singh has reached its final stages of shooting and the release date has been fixed as June 23, 2017 for the Ramzan weekend. The title is yet to be announced and one can hope that it will be revealed through the First look poster which will be unveiled on Ugadhi festival day falling on March 29.

This is the 23rd film of Tollywood Prince Mahesh Babu and his first direct Tamil film. The film is touted to be a Spy thriller.

Unconfirmed sources say that the film has been titled as 'Spyder'.

We have to be careful whether this information is true. Even if it is true, the title will be used only for the Telugu version and the Tamil version will certainly have another title which will have to be a proper Tamil word to be eligible for the 30% Entertainment Tax waiver offered by Tamil Nadu Government for Tamil films that fulfil the stipulated conditions. One should also not forget that Mahesh Babu has preferred a common title for both Tamil and Telugu versions of the film.

So we will have to wait for First look poster or an official confirmation about the title prior to that to know the official title of 'Mahesh 23'.
