'Aakatayi', starring debutante Asish Raj and Ruksar Meer in lead roles, is written and directed by Ram Bhimana. Music-directed by Mani Sharma, it has Suman, Naga Babu, Ramki, Raashi, Brahmanandam, Ali, Pradeep Rawat, Posani, Prudhvi, Srinivas Reddy and others among its cast.

A special song on Bollywood diva Ameesha Patel and others is scheduled to be filmed.

Currently, at RFC, the climax scenes involving various members of the cast are being shot. Two songs in Ukraine and Georgia each will be shot. Produced by VKA Films, the film will be released in January after the post-production works in December.
