Ana Navarro Blasts 'Racist, Lying' Donald Trump, But Defends His Stance On Syria

“For too long we have been looking the other way in the face of genocide."

Republican strategist and CNN contributor Ana Navarro dubbed President Donald Trump a “racist, lying, misogynist pig” on Friday, before agreeing with his new position on Syria.

Appearing on “Real Time with Bill Maher,” Navarro tossed out the insults while the panel dissected Trump’s authorization on Thursday of a U.S. military strike on a Syrian airfield in response to a chemical attack allegedly ordered by Syrian President Bashar Assad’s regime.

Navarro described the whole situation in Syria as “bewildering” but said Trump’s change of mind on how to deal with the country’s civil war was definitely not. “The man has had more positions than the Kama Sutra on just about every issue,” she said.

Navarro, who’s not been afraid to criticize Trump in the past, then moved to defend Trump ― albeit in a roundabout sort of way.

“When he was campaigning, I thought he was a racist, misogynist, lying pig. I still think he is a racist, misogynist, lying pig, but he’s also my commander-in-chief,” Navarro said. “For too long we have been looking the other way in the face of genocide.”
