Don't Expect This Record-Setting Goal To Be Broken Anytime Soon

GOOOAAAAL!!!!!!

Here’s an aggressive game plan for all the soccer fans.

It took the University of Mary Marauders all of three seconds to get on the scoreboard Sunday, thanks to a record-setting boot from senior forward Megan Searson.

With a little help from the reported 33 mph winds at her back, Searson sent a 54-yard strike soaring over the goalkeeper and into the Minnesota Crookston net.

The University of Mary tweeted that the goal set the record for the fastest goal across all levels of competition in NCAA soccer history.

The Marauders won the match 2-0.
