'Texts From My Cats' Shows Felines In All Their Adorable Kookiness

ROFLMEOW.

If felines could work an iPhone, you KNOW their texts would be a-mew-sing AF.

Amanda Boerste has created a hilarious series called “Texts From My Cats” illustrating what texts from her rescue felines, Mittens, Buster and Jackson, would look like. And they really are the cat’s meow.

The texts include the cat’s hilarious musings about the holidays, kitties’ occasionally naughty activities and their feelings ― and they have a lot of them.

Boerste told The Huffington Post that she started creating the texts back in 2014 when she was going through a difficult time. The project ended up being cathartic for her. Since then, she’s done more than 50 of these texts and explained that the inspiration behind the messages are frequently just real life situations.

“Often times the texts are based on something real, for example, one of my posts is titled “Q tips” and Jackson will really dig through my bathroom trash when I’m not home, and pull out the Q-tips and leave them in various places in my apartment,” the 31-year-old said. “Of course, some of them are scenarios that I imagine would play out could they actually talk and text.”

What’s more, Boerste said that the messages come with their own personal touches.

“All three of my cats have very different personalities, so the type of humor the text required would dictate which cat it came from.”

Judging from the texts, all three cats seem to have endearingly kooky personalities and we’d be honored to group text with them any day.
