RCom starts rolling out 4G services for CDMA customers

Reliance Communications (Rcom) has started rolling out its 4G services in Mumbai, Delhi, Maharasthra and Andhra Pradesh circles for the CDMA customers who had upgraded to 4G, reports ET. Rcom is offering 4G for its customers through spectrum sharing agreement with Reliance Jio Infocomm.

Reliance 4G plans start at Rs. 95 for 1GB with 2 days validity or Rs. 252 for 1GB of data valid for 28 days for pre-paid customers. This goes up to Rs. 1349 for 10GB of data.

For postpaid customers, monthly plans start at Rs. 300 for 1GB of data and goes up to Rs. 1850 for 10GB data. All these plans vary depending on the circle.

Existing Reliance CDMA Voice or Datacard customers can get their 4G SIM from nearest Reliance Store or upgrade online.

After receiving the 4G SIM, pre-paid and post-paid CDMA voice customers need to SMS 4G <space> 19 digit SIM number of the new 4G SIM to 1299. They can also call 1299 from the existing number and enter new 19-digit 4G SIM number.

Reliance data card customers can register their device using the new 4G number on reliancenetconnect.co.in to activate the connection.

After upgrading to 4G they also get free 10GB 4G data, unlimited on-net STD and local calls and 150 minutes of local and STD calls for a month at Rs. 93 (Varies depending on the circle.).

RCom already said that it will roll out 4G services initially in 12 circles — Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata, Gujarat, Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra, Punjab, UP East and West, Odisha, Madhya Pradesh and Bihar. It will roll out 4G in Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Karnataka and Rajasthan after approval from the Department of Telecommunications (DoT).
