Google Chrome for Android to get Network Quality Estimator and Offline mode

Google Chrome Network Quality Estimator

At the Google I/O 2015, Google’s VP of Engineering, Jen Fitzpatrick announced that Google is testing Network Quality Estimator for Chrome, especially for countries like India that has slow internet connection in most areas. This analyzes the network connection to optimize both the search results and any webpages to load pages faster and prioritizing text and information over data-intensive images.

Last year Chrome for Android and iOS got data compression and bandwidth management. Recently Google announced that it is field testing a new feature for Chrome in Indonesia that would enable page loading 4 times faster with 80% less data consumption and about 80MB of less memory use.

Google Chrome Offline Support

Chrome will finally get offline mode that will let you save articles, bus timings, cooking recipes and more for reading them offline, when you don’t have internet connection. This feature is already available in several browsers such as Opera.
