Build 9879 is the third version of Windows 10 TP and the last one for this year. Minimize and restore buttons have also been tweaked and in order to simplify discovery, the 3 dots in the Window chrome for modern apps has been replaced with a “hamburger-style” icon. In addition, Microsoft is adding new 3 finger trackpad gestures. In case of OneDrive, Microsoft is adding selective sync, where you will need to specify what is saved to your PC and what Microsoft keeps safe in its OneDrive cloud. The dedicated OneDrive app has now been removed and users will need to access it only from File Explorer.

The new build also brings improvements to the testers’ information and feedback tools. There’s a new Insider Hub app that acts as “your one-stop-shop” for news and announcements about the Windows Insider program. Microsoft is even bringing MKV support to Windows 10 along with DLNA and Play To and video thumbnails and metadata will show fully in File Explorer.
