National Coach Stephen Constantine announced the list of 28 Probables for India’s forthcoming Russia 2018 World Cup Preliminary Joint Qualification match against Iran. Iran, as per the July 2015 FIFA Rankings, stay the highest Asian Team on 38; while India is ranked at 156th.
The match will be played at the Sree Kanteerava Stadium in Bengaluru on 8 September and will be telecast live on Sony Six. The 28 probables would be assembling for a preparatory camp in Pune on 23 August. The match against Iran will be preceded by an international friendly against Nepal on 31 August. The match against Nepal will be played at the Balewadi Stadium in Pune.
