Investments case: Jagan Reddy, others appear before CBI court

YSR Congress chief YS Jaganmohan Reddy and other accused in the case pertaining to alleged quid-pro-quo investments made in his firms on Thursday appeared before a special CBI court in Hyderabad which posted the matter to 19 December.

Hyderabad: YSR Congress chief YS Jaganmohan Reddy and other accused in the case pertaining to alleged quid-pro-quo investments made in his firms on Thursday appeared before a special CBI court in Hyderabad which posted the matter to 19 December.

Jagan, the prime accused in the case, who represents Pulivendula Assembly seat in Kadapa district of Andhra Pradesh, his close aide and financial advisor V Vijay Sai Reddy and other accused including former minister Dharmana Prasada Rao, also appeared before the court in connection with different aspects of the case.

A few industrialists and some IAS officers, who have been named in the 11 charge sheets, also appeared before the court.

The case pertains to alleged investments made by various private firms and individuals to the tune of several crores of rupees in Jagan’s businesses as part of quid pro-quo arrangement for various favours bestowed on them during the tenure of his father late YS Rajasekhara Reddy as Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh between 2004 and 2009.
