“As Mirwaiz was supposed to address the press conference at 3 pm today (Saturday), the authorities deployed the heavy contingent of forces to prevent him from addressing the press,” a spokesman of the Hurriyat said.

As a result, Mirwaiz went live on Twitter and Facebook.

Mirwaiz accused the Indian government and media of distorting facts and rejected claims of amassing illegal wealth.
