“Development works will be carried out in Amethi on the lines of Gujarat model… Acute problems of Amethi related to roads, power supply and piped water will be resolved soon,” she said.

The BJP nominee said all this could be done successfully if Narendra Modi takes over as the Prime Minister, and urged the people to ensure her party’s victory in the Lok Sabha polls.

Earlier, Irani addressed a public meeting in Thauri in Jagdishpur Assembly segment.

She said there remains “many loopholes even after the 10-year tenure of Gandhi scion (Congress vice president and sitting MP Rahul Gandhi)” and those needs to addressed.

Things that went wrong during the time of Gandhi will be corrected “with cooperation from the people of Amethi, especially youths and women who are seriously aggrieved”, she added.
