However, 67 percent people think the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) should not form the government by engineering defections in the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) or the Congress, a snap poll - Mood of Delhi - conducted by India Today Group-Hansa said here.

Moreover, 38 percent respondents disbelieve the AAP’s video “sting” that accused the BJP of horse-trading and poaching on its legislator.

Delhi is under President’s rule since AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal resigned as the chief minister on 14 February over the stalling of his pet anti-graft bill in the assembly.

The poll also said 41 percent will root for the AAP, which reflected that the popularity of the fledgling party has waned a little.

However, Kejriwal is the top choice of Delhiites for the post of chief minister with 39 percent voting for him.

Union minister Harsh Vardhan and former IPS officer Kiran Bedi are second choices for the top post, both garnering 20 percent vote.

Snap poll was conducted across all seven parliamentary constituencies of Delhi with a total sample size of 1,019 respondents, its organisaers said.
