A police team has been sent to Naag’s native place-Sihawa in Dhamtari district to arrest him, she added.

The victim, who resides in Bheemabeda area of Makdi, studies in class IX at government high school in Jhakarpara where the accused is the headmaster of the primary section.

“As per the complaint, Naag had been sexually exploiting the girl since last three years on the pretext of ensuring her good marks in the annual examinations,” Sharma said.

When Naag discovered the girl’s pregnancy, he threatened the girl and her family with dire consequences if they reveal the incident to anyone.

Besides, he also lured her with money to persuade her not to approach the police, the ASP said quoting the girl’s statement.
