Sohail Khan was last seen on the big screen in 2010 film Raakh, but has directed multiple films like Jai Ho, Freaky Ali to name a few.
He will next be seen in a pivotal role in Tubelight, which releases on Eid, where he will play Salman Khan’s brother.
Firstpost caught up with the actor/producer/director right before the film’s release, and he said, “This time things are different because when you need Salman bhai for your production things are difficult, but when he calls you on his production, that’s great.”
He revealed how Kabir Khan wanted to waste no time establishing that these two characters are brothers, and that’s how the film fell into his lap.
How difficult is it to be a part of a Salman Khan film? Sohail’s views on this were, “you just have to ride the wave. Salman is a safe actor, so you know you’re in good hands.”
Sohail also shed light on the kind of preparation he and Salman go through to maintain his physique, image and general following. “It does take a toll on you. You stop living for yourself, and start living for others,” he said, adding, “When they say, ‘celebrities should be treated like normal human beings’ I think — please do!”
