In the last video of their series EIC v/s Bollywood, the comedians of East India Comedy (EIC) talked about the songs that they felt were the worst ones last year.
Sahil Shah said that according to him, ‘Kaala Chashma’ was the worst song because it makes no sense. “They remixed the song, but they didn’t add anything significant to it. They took the original and added a woman screaming,” he said. Atul Khatri added that Bollywood would create another remix three years later. “Such a Sindhi way to look at things,” Shah remarked.
He added that his issue with ‘Kaala Chashma’ was that it played everywhere, and especially at sangeet ceremonies at weddings.
Angad Singh Ranyal said that he felt ‘Baby Ko Bass Pasand Hai’ was the worst, criticising the main dance step where Salman spanks himself. “You know Salman Khan is single because he has to spank his own ass,” joked Shah. Ranyal added that the lyrics of the song, which compare the woman’s body to a live wire, make no sense until you realise that Badshah, the rapper, is an engineer.
‘Bulleya’ was the worst song for Atul Khatri. “The music was good, because it was by Pritam, and we know it was not his,” he said. He criticised the lyrics for being so complicated that he asked himself the question, “Main ki kara?” He says that he was glad when the MNS wanted to ban the movie, because he was sure the chorus was a code for terrorist called Bulleya.
