Watch: Deepika Padukone offers prayers at Rishikesh along banks of Ganga river

Rishikesh: Noted Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone visited the Parmartha Niketan Ashram along the banks of the Ganga here.

She also took part in the Ganga Aarti along with her relatives and friends.

Swami Chidananda Saraswati, who heads the ashram, gifted her a Rudraksha sapling and said if the saints, singers and actors worked together for cleanliness the mission will easily achieve its objective.

Deepika is currently working on Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Padmavati after her film with Vin Diesel xXx: Return of Xander Cage released earlier this year in January.

The shoot of Padmavati has been stalled indefinitely after two incidents of vandalism on the sets, first at Jaipur and then at Kolhapur, both by Rajput Karni Sena. Deepika Padukone is currently one of the highest paid female actors in Bollywood, with also the highest number of brand endorsements in India.

In 2016, Forbes listed her as one of the top 10 highest paid actresses hailing from India.
